To all of you who received a brand new Apple system for Christmas, congrats! However you may need had some issue establishing and signing in to iCloud together with different Apple customers. First reported by Apple Insider, as of Saturday morning, Apple’s system status page was exhibiting “some users affected” by a difficulty that started at round 4:45AM ET on December 25th.

Practically 36 hours later, the difficulty seems to be over. A standing replace at 4:35PM ET Saturday exhibits the difficulty as “resolved.”

The problem gave the impression to be affecting a number of units. The system standing web page didn’t present points with every other elements of iCloud or different Apple companies.

Apple Help tweeted Friday afternoon that it was conscious of the difficulty, and stated it was “experiencing a high capacity at this time, which is impacting your ability to set up iCloud, please try back in a couple of hours.” The message was directed to a person attempting to arrange their mom’s new iPad and HomePod mini.

It’s nonetheless not clear how widespread the issue was, and Apple didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark from The Verge on Saturday.
